July 4th at the Lake

We enjoyed a nice July 4th holiday at Bear Lake with the family. The boys enjoyed playing with their cousins. The weather was perfect and it really wasn't all too crowded. We spent a few days beachside, enjoyed some pool action, a little golfing, and golf ball hunting. It was a nice break.

I've been so bad at blogging lately. I want to but I just haven't had it in me.

It's been a busy month. We had 2 birthdays (Nic 4, Ben 12), Father's Day, lots of Baseball, too many doctor and dentist appointments with a little fun sprinkled in between. 

I plan to do individual birthday posts for the boys. I guess we will see if I have it in me.

Happy Easter!

Nice day relaxing, enjoying family and a little fun. We crammed in ALL the Easter festivities today... Baskets, egg hunt and egg dyeing.

We even got a quick visit from Grandma and Grandma Great.

Happy Birthday Chris

We celebrated another great year for Chris last night. He's officially into his forties now... The boys were excited to give him their gifts, of which they each wrapped.  Chris appreciated the many phone calls and well wishes. Thank you!

Weekend fun

We had an excellent jam packed weekend. Chris and I headed on an overnight to Park City for some music ( Mike Gordon), shopping and food. Kind of an early birthday celebration for Chris... The boys hung with cousins and had a blast! Around the Park City trip we packed in soccer, baseball, haircuts, and a fun trip to the Zoo. I like busy, fun weekends.

Weekend fun

I spent this past weekend in California for the Craft and Hobby Association show (CHA). I had an excellent time walking the show, observing industry trends, and catching up with old friends. It was a successful and super quick trip for me. Packed with inspiration and walking... in on Saturday morning, out Sunday night.  

Chris and the boys also packed their weekend with fun. They made Indian food (Andrew did most of the cooking and directing), attended baseball and soccer commitments, sledded (big cottonwood) and watched movies. Chris sent me pictures from their weekend and I was quickly jealous of their good time. I don't leave the kids very often anymore...

North Pole express

On Friday we took a train ride on the North Pole Express. We met a few nice elves, Mrs. Claus and even had a visit from Santa.

While heading to the North Pole we enjoyed Hot cocoa ("hot coke" as Nic calls it), famous chocolate chip cookies and caroling. Santa faces us all bells. It was a festive, memorable and fun night.
