View over Cinncinati

All packed and ready for Germany!

I leave today for Frankfurt, Germany to manage for Stampin’ Up! the catalog press checks for the 08-09 year. I think I have prepared myself for the 13 hour flight however I am never completely prepared for travel. I will feel unsettled until I am checked into my temporary hotel home in Germany and even then a little out of sorts. I wish I spoke German. Thank goodness I talked my mom into tagging along for the trip. Hey Mom! We hope among all the work that we can catch some sights together. I am very excited about that. I will try and keep this blog update with a few of those sights so you all can share in the experience a little, I am taking my good camera. We'll also will have an opportunity to visit with Skip and Shauna (my Aunt and Uncle) who I have not seen in 10-15 years. And, if I can track her down, Nathalie from highschool. Have a great week. Danke!

I love my wife

She's watching the kids and remodelling our bathroom. I'm taking in another DBacks game in AZ. What a lucky man I am.

Another view

Child labor

Is it child labor If they want to work and they don't get paid? Hmmm.
Grout is complete and my hands are looking quite attractive. These are
not the best photos but it is just too easy to post through the phone.

The tile is down!

The boys and I laid the tile tonight and my knees are sore. It didn't
take too long, maybe an hour and half. Grout tomorrow, woohoo!

Chase Field

It's actually an air conditioned stadium. It's 110 degrees outside but cool in here. The roof is open on cooler days but stays closed most of the time.

Great Seat

I'm treating myself to a great seat at an Arizona Diamondbacks game tonight. 2nd row behind the plate - wow!

First blackberry

The first blackberry was rip and ready today, when they all come on-
watch out!

Painting complete

The boys and I finished the base paint tonight, we went with a pure
white. We will need a little touch up after the finish work is
complete but for now, one more step can be checked off the list. The
boys had a good time painting, Benjamin ran into the wall twice and
needed to be cleaned up bit but otherwise a smooth job.

Cement board down

Another day, another step complete. The cement board is down and the
walls are patched and sanded. If I am still feeling ambitious I might
paint tonight. Color? Hmmm, likely white as I am going for a very
clean look and feel. Chris leaves for Arizona tonight for a week and
my goal is to paint and tile before he returns.
